We’re holding a Contribution Day on 24th July 2016 at Brighton City College. This is the same venue as the WordCamp conference the day before.
Why come along?
Contribution days are a great way to start or continue contributing to the WordPress project.
We’ve held one in Brighton before and this time we’re excited to have an entire day focusing on a range of different areas.
How can I contribute?
On the day, we’ll have teams contributing to as many areas of WordPress as possible. When you sign up, we’ll ask which teams you’d like to work with.
If you’d like to contribute to more than one area, that’s no problem as you can move around during the day.
Here are some of the areas you can contribute to:
- Accessibility
- BuddyPress
- Community
- Core
- Design
- Documentation
- Flow
- Marketing
- Meta
- Mobile
- Polygots
- Support
- Themes
- Training
- TV
Do I need to have experience?
You don’t need to be an experienced contributor. All types of contributors can get involved. There’ll also be people to help you throughout the day.
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is yourself and ideally a laptop. We’ll provide food for all those attending. Just come along and we’ll take care of you while you contribute.
Want to join in?
Great! All you need to do is sign up using the form below.
As extra encouragement to join us, there’s no charge to come to Contribution Day.
Even if you’ve told us you’re coming to WordCamp, you’ll still need to sign up for Contribution Day using the form below.
Focus on flows and user testing
We’d like to get people testing WordPress and learning about flows.
So we encourage you to bring along other non-laptop devices too – from iPads, to Kindles, to all the different phones there are.
Testing is a great opportunity for anyone to contribute. Come along and learn how to user test WordPress.
