Organisers

Who are the WordPressers organising WordCamp Brighton 2017? Find out right here:

Alice Still

Alice does copy and content strategy at Unramble. Specialising in tone of voice, she likes creating user-friendly content strategies and writing accessible website copy. Alice cares about community and inclusiveness – both online and off – and is a fan of WordPress, doggos and emojis 😎

Ana Silva

Ana Silva is a digi-marketing girl, coffee-maker and poetry lover from London.

She works across Products & Events with the incredible WordPress fan-humans at Human Made, on projects such as Out of Office and Nomadbase. She runs the Communications team at WordCamp London, and is leading the team building the WordCamp London Organiser’s Handbook.

She also reads (often) and writes (much less) about gender, race, culture and history.

You can find her here and here.

Edd Hurst

Edd is a Producer at Pragmatic, which mainly means that he spends most of his days drinking smoothies and thinking about how to solve problems with WordPress (smoothie optional). He moved up to Brighton last year the day before our first WordCamp Brighton and loved it so much he couldn’t help but get involved! Edd is also a co-organiser of WordUp Brighton, and a WordCamp London speaker, but can also be found playing saxophone and piano, or eating a burrito somewhere, probably the South Downs.

Elliot Taylor

Elliot is a WordPress entrepreneur and developer from Brighton, England. Currently he spends his time growing his second SaaS product Superscribe, built on WordPress using the REST API. Elliot is also a co-organiser of WordUp Brighton and WooCommerce London Meetup. When he’s not busy talking about WordPress he plays blues guitar and surfs.

Laura Nelson

Laura is the Marketing Manager at Pragmatic – a Brighton-based WordPress design, development, and marketing agency. She’s been marketing WordPress sites for the past 5 years, and loves creating digital marketing strategies for a variety of different clients. Outside of her digital marketing bubble, Laura is an avid gamer, tea drinker, and cake maker.

Ryan Golds

Ryan is the lead support developer at Pragmatic and has been working with WordPress for over 5 years. Aside from WordPress Ryan is a keen follower of most sports and enjoys nothing more than taking his bike for a ride along the south downs.

Tammie Lister

Tammie works at Automattic as an experience designer, the company behind WordPress.com. She has a varied background including psychology, design, front end development and user experience. She is a contributor to WordPress and passionate about Open Source.

Tom Chute

Tom is an Account Manager at Pragmatic and has been working on WordPress projects for over 7 years. Since joining Pragmatic, Tom has loved getting more involved in the WordPress community locally, and is a massive advocate for all that Brighton has to offer. When not WordPressing, Tom is part of the Pragmatic in-house band, and loves getting out in the South Downs on his vintage racing bike.
