We’re back, bigger and better, for our third year and would love for you to join us in making WordCamp Brighton 2018 the best yet \ud83d\ude04 We need friendly people to form an awesome volunteering team to help make the event run like clockwork.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Why Volunteer at WCBTN?<\/h2>\n

Volunteering at a WordCamp is a fantastic way of giving back to the WordPress community.<\/p>\n

You’ll get to be part of a great organising team and help shape the success of WordCamp Brighton.<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get an invite to the Volunteer’s Dinner. This is being held on the evening of Thursday 16th August. Sounds good, right? \ud83d\ude0b<\/p>\n

If you volunteer you shouldn’t worry about missing the conference, we’ll sort out shifts so that you can still attend the talks you want to go to.<\/p>\n

How can you help?<\/h2>\n

We have a\u00a0number of different roles available this year. You can either apply for a specific role that’s of interest to you, or we can allocate you one.<\/p>\n

The main conference is on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th August, but we’ll need volunteers to help set up on the afternoon of Thursday 16th – please tick the relevant box on the form below if you’re available on the Thursday too.<\/p>\n

Registration and Swag \u270d<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be the welcoming and registering attendees. We have some cool swag to give out, so you\u2019ll be very popular!<\/span><\/p>\n

Photographers \ud83d\udcf8<\/strong><\/p>\n

Help us capture the goings on at WordCamp Brighton!<\/p>\n

Lunch Coordinators \ud83c\udf7d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lunchtimes get busy! We need to make sure everyone gets fed in the allocated lunch break.<\/p>\n

Room Monitor \/ Microphone Runner \ud83c\udfa4\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

You’ll be whizzing around with the mic during Q&As and ensuring attendees can access the speaking rooms.<\/p>\n

Social Media \ud83d\udc26<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keeping the world informed during the conference, with tweets and posts as it happens.<\/p>\n

Directions \u21aa\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We don’t want anyone wandering around getting lost! You’ll be helping attendees move around the building and keeping an eye on the speakers\u2019 greenroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Helpful Hut \u26fa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be on hand to answer any questions our attendees might have and help coordinate slots with our WordPress experts.<\/p>\n

Keyholder \ud83d\udd11\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be responsible for security of the speaker and volunteer “Green Room”, granting access as required.<\/p>\n
