We’re back, bigger and better, for our third year and would love for you to join us in making WordCamp Brighton 2019 the best yet 😄 We need friendly people to form an awesome volunteering team to help make the event run like clockwork.
Why Volunteer at WCBTN?
Volunteering at a WordCamp is a fantastic way of giving back to the WordPress community.
You’ll get to be part of a great organising team and help shape the success of WordCamp Brighton.
If you volunteer you shouldn’t worry about missing the conference, we’ll sort out shifts so that you can still attend the talks you want to go to.
How can you help?
We have a number of different roles available this year. You can either apply for a specific role that is of interest to you, or we can allocate you one.
The main conference is on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th August, but we’ll need volunteers to help set up on the afternoon of Thursday 15th – please tick the relevant box on the form below if you’re available on the Thursday too.
These are the areas you can get involved with:
Registration and Swag ✍
You’ll be the welcoming and registering attendees. We have some cool swag to give out, so you’ll be very popular!
Photographers 📸
Help us capture the goings on at WordCamp Brighton!
Lunch Coordinators 🍽
Lunchtimes get busy! We need to make sure everyone gets fed in the allocated lunch break.
Room Monitor / Microphone Runner 🎤
You’ll be whizzing around with the mic during Q&As and ensuring attendees can access the speaking rooms.
Social Media 🐦
Keeping the world informed during the conference, with tweets and posts as it happens.
Directions ↪
We don’t want anyone wandering around getting lost! You’ll be helping attendees move around the building and keeping an eye on the speakers’ greenroom.
Helpful Hut ⛺
Be on hand to answer any questions our attendees might have and help coordinate slots with our WordPress experts.
Key Holder 🔑
Be responsible for security of the speaker and volunteer “Green Room”, granting access as required.
