Your after party hangover cure!
(Various cures will be available in the form of cakes and lots of coffee!)
We’re holding a fun and relaxed event celebrating contributing to the global WordPress open source project. The day is for everyone, experienced and new contributors on Sunday 18 August 2019, 10am – 4pm at The Skiff.
This is a different venue from the Workshop and Conference Days and you can book a separate (free!) ticket for Contributor Day. The building will open at about 9.30am. The main entrance is located at Blackman Street. If you have problems gaining access, try the entrance on Fleet Street (near Halfords Autocentre).

Why should I come along?
Contributor Days are a great way to start or continue contributing to the WordPress project. If you’ve done this before, you will remember how fun it is to get together with your teams face-to-face.
If you’ve never contributed before, we will help you get set up with everything you need, and answer all your questions.
You will most definitely come away having learnt something new. We hope you will be inspired to continue contributing to WordPress after the WordCamp too.
Why contributing benefits everyone – article by the Make WordPress marketing team featuring contributor interviews.
What happens on the day?
On the day, we will have teams contributing to as many areas of WordPress as possible.
When you claim your Contributor Day ticket, we will ask which teams you would like to work with, but you can also let us know on the day.
Attendees will break up into teams focused on a particular area of WordPress. If you would like to contribute to more than one area, that’s no problem as you can move around during the day.
You might start working on documentation with the Community team in the morning and finish up translating WordPress with the Polyglots team in the afternoon. It’s up to you!
Do I need to have experience?
No, you don’t need any experience – anyone can get involved.
There will also be people to help you throughout the day, especially if you fancy trying out something completely new.
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is yourself and a laptop if you can. We will provide food for everyone attending. Just come along and there will be plenty of people to help you contribute.
Awesome, I want to join in the fun!
Great! All you need to do is visit to the Ticket page and claim your free ticket so we know to expect you. As there is limited space, please only claim a ticket if you will be able to attend on the day.
Any questions, contact Jonathan Morgan-Jones and Abha Thakor, who will be leading Contributor Day at WordCamp Brighton 2019.
