Alain Schlesser

Alain is a freelance software engineer and WordPress consultant living in Germany.

He is the maintainer of WP-CLI, the command-line interface for WordPress and works on WordPress Core itself as a contributor and component maintainer.

He offers higher-level consulting, code reviews and software design coaching, enabling companies to deal with frequent change and ever-growing complexity while optimising for reduced maintenance effort and lower total cost of ownership.

Passionate about software architecture and code quality, he never misses an opportunity to share best practices and tries to live up to his educational aspirations through public speaking and blogging.

Alison Rothwell

A former charity and government press officer, Alison decided to take her offline marketing skills online and launched two web retail businesses. Once she got them to the top of the search engines, she was hooked on WordPress!

Alison then created a website management company, WP Fiddly Bits, to work with small businesses to keep their websites safely up and running, fix those niggly issues that occur, and enable them to keep their sites and their online marketing up-to-date.

WP Fiddly Bits has grown to a team of seven based in the UK, the Philippines, and India, with clients worldwide. They work with businesses ranging from blast cleaners to soap actors.

When not buying domain names online ‘just in case’, Alison can be found walking her border terrier on the Lancastrian moors.

Ana Silva

Ana is a Communications Manager at Human Made where she works on marketing, branding, publicity, and events. She has been involved in organising a number of WordCamps, including WCLDN, WCEU & WCBTN. She was born in Lisbon, raised in London, and can often be found in coffee shop corners reading old poetry books.

Ben Kinnaird

Ben is the founder of marketing company Rather Inventive, and host of the Something Inventive podcast. He loves to help people solve problems, often using technology to simplify and automate their life so they can take back more time or take on more challenges.

Chris Brosnan

Chris is a self-taught developer with eight years of professional experience and several more as a hobbyist tinkerer.

He has a particular interest in PHP and developing for WordPress, and has shared his passion for both in different industries including the charity sector, travel, financial software, blockchain and property sectors.

When not coding, he enjoys film, comic books, board games, listening to podcasts and watching football. He is also a part-time postgraduate student at Birkbeck College.

Craig West

I am a WordPress Developer in Brighton and have been producing courses on Udemy. Soon to be released is my “Decoupled WordPress: REST API, JSON, AJAX, JWT and SPAs” which will be followed by the course I am currently developing “Decoupled WordPress or other CMS server Progressive Web Apps”.

I am passionate about the decoupled WP architecture as it allows WP to be the hub for non-technical clients who need to administer and build a CMS and allowing developers to use non-WP technologies.

I will be offering free coupons for the course at the conference for my peers, as this repays the gifts other developers have given me.

Dan Maby

Dan is a director at Blue 37 – a WordPress specialist agency. He’s also the Founder & Trustee of WP&UP – a charity that supports & promotes positive mental health within the WordPress community.

You’ll find him organising WordCamps, Meetups and events throughout the UK. He thrives on business development and project management, as well as having a passion for seeing success within others.

David Darke

Technological lead at Atomic Smash – Bristol. I’ve been working with WordPress every day for almost 10 years. I really see WordPress as the cornerstone of how the internet curates content and want to help as it grows and adapts.

David Lockie

David Lockie’s interests lie in WordPress, blockchain, and other associated open source and decentralised tech.

He’s the founder and director of Pragmatic – the largest WordPress agency in Europe, which he started in 2012. David loves working with the team at Pragmatic in delivering websites that add real value to businesses, and in turn enjoys sharing his expertise on this topic at international conferences such as WooConf and WordCamp.

Last year, David set up Dcent – an agency specialising in blockchain development. Through Dcent, he’s looking forward to exploring the exciting possibilities decentralised technologies have to offer.

Fellyph Cintra

Hello, my name is Fellyph Cintra I’m a front-end developer. I’m based in Ireland and work at Deloitte Digital.

My story with WordPress started in 2008 when I created my first professional project, since then much happened and in 2012 I attended my first WordCamp as a volunteer. 2 years later I became one of the organisers of WordCamp São Paulo.

I have participated as a speaker in over 10 WordCamps in Europe and South America, always covering my favourite subject: front-end technologies. In 2019 I became a Google Developer Expert with a focus on web technologies.

Graham Armfield

Graham is a Web Accessibility Consultant with his own company Coolfields Consulting. He works with organisations to help them improve the accessibility of their websites – testing the websites for accessibility, and advising the designers and developers on how to fix issues found. He has written detailed training courses on accessibility for developers which he presents on a regular basis.

He’s also a WordPress developer, and has built many accessible WordPress websites for clients – both large and small. He has contributed to the Make WordPress Accessible Team and has spoken on accessibility to many WordCamps and other WordPress meetups.

Outside of work you’re likely to find him playing his guitar, recording his next album or performing at local open mic evenings.

Judith Schröer

As a digital business administrator, I consult freelancers and small companies on all aspects of online marketing and digitisation.

I have always had a soft spot for niches and small businesses because I like people who follow their passion. I have gained my 20 years of professional experience in small service businesses, mostly in the tourism industry.

I started my own business in 2015 and became a passionate WordPress fan. Since 2017 I have been involved in the WordPress Community (Orga, volunteer & speaker at Meetups).

Keith Hyde

Keith has worked for 34SP.com the UK based managed WordPress Host for over 16 years. During that time he has worked as a system administrator, technical support engineer and WordPress specialist. This has given him a unique and broad view of the industry, allowing him to offer support at various levels.

Laura Nelson

Laura is the Marketing Manager at Pragmatic – a Brighton-based WordPress agency. She’s been marketing WordPress sites for the past 7 years, and loves creating digital marketing strategies for a variety of different clients.

She’s also a trustee at WP&UP; a charity aimed at supporting and promoting positive mental health within the WordPress community. Laura is passionate about shedding the stigma surrounding mental illness. As someone who suffers from anxiety herself, she’s keen to shed more light on this issue in order to help others.

Rhys Wynne

Rhys Wynne is a Freelance WordPress Plugin developer, author and speaker.

In 2013 he penned bbPress Complete (ISBN-13: 978-1782167242) and has written plugins that have been downloaded over 100,000 times. Rhys has a keen interest in commercial WordPress development, SEO, security and open source technologies, and enjoys the community that has surrounded open source technologies.

Sabrina Zeidan

A fan of WordPress since 2010, Sabrina is fond of scaling the networks of websites with WordPress Multisite and performance optimisation. She focuses on making WordPress websites faster as a part of WP Media team.

She is a WordCamp volunteer and a contributor to Make WordPress polyglots and plugins teams.

Sarah Pantry

Coming from a self-taught background, Sarah got her first break into commercial development at a large London ISP when the dev manager found out everyone was playing an online PHP game she had co-written. After that, she worked at several agencies, developing sites for FTSE 250 clients, developing a love of WordPress, and working with Symfony.

Now, as a developer on the WordPress.com VIP team at Automattic, she is responsible for looking after sites for many well-known global brands, as well as developer hiring for the team.

Outside the technical world, Sarah is a big fan of both beer and homebrewing. She is a qualified beer judge and enjoys teaching people about beer and brewing.

Si Cooke

Simon is a Design, Digital Marketing and Sales specialist with over 20 years of industry experience, having co-owned a creative agency for 14 years, which merged with Pragmatic in 2016.

Nowadays, Simon heads up the Commercial Department at Pragmatic, the UK’s largest WordPress Agency with big plans for the future. Simon is also a jury member of the Automattic Design Awards and co-creator of PACE, a marketing technology conference held in London.

Tammie Lister

Tammie works at Automattic as an Experience Designer, where she is donated to the WordPress.org project full time. Her background is varied and includes psychology, design, development and user experience. She is passionate about Open Source and community.

Tim Nash

Tim is the platform lead at 34SP.com for their Managed WordPress product in addition to being the companies developer advocate. One day he will work out what either of those job titles means.

Until he does he spends his day in a mix of dev, security, ops and project management as well as speaking at user groups and conferences.

He also helps run WordPress Leeds and writes for several publications including his own site timnash.co.uk.
