Organisers

Introducing your WordCamp Brighton 2018 organising team! You’ll find some information about them here, but the best way of getting to know them is over a drink at the afterparty 😄

Emma Quinlan

Emma is the Office Manager at Pragmatic. After attending WordCamp Brighton and Europe last year she was keen to get more involved this year. Outside of work, Emma likes to relax by watching horror movies and RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Tom Chute

Tom is Pragmatic’s People Operations Director, and leads on recruitment, learning and development, creating a happy office, and partnerships with educational organisations. Outside of WordPress, Tom loves music and DJing (requests please for the after party) and enjoying Brighton’s many eateries (if you need some recommendations, give him a shout).

Jo McKinney-Green

Jo has a background in Project Management and Event Management, and is a WordCamp novice. She is loving the collaborative approach to organising, and is excited to learn more about WordPress. When not projecting or eventing, Jo is either dreaming about the theatre or running round after her hyperactive new dog.

Emma Costello

Emma is a freelance user experience designer and web developer. She’s been working with WordPress in one way or another for about 7 years, mainly building sites for small businesses. When not working, Emma’s main interests are travel, art and cooking, but in reality she’s usually running around after a hyperactive toddler.

Laura Nelson

Laura is the Marketing Manager at Pragmatic – a Brighton-based WordPress design, development, and marketing agency. She’s been marketing WordPress sites for the past 6 years, and loves creating digital marketing strategies for a variety of different clients. Outside of her digital marketing bubble, Laura is an avid gamer, tea drinker, and cake maker.

Matt Burleton

Counterfeit designer, maker/shaker, spends days contemplating the 95 – 100% Black conundrum. By night Matt hones his baby catching skills and the ability to multi-task. Powered by crafty beer, kokoro and disco, Matt really enjoys the dynamics of Scandinavian furniture.

Jeremy Brown

Jeremy provides WordPress sites and support for agencies, small businesses and creative individuals. He’s been working on website projects and digital marketing as a career since 2001. He loves WordPress because you can do so much with it and it just keeps getting better. When not at work, he’s relaxing with Claire or mountain biking and doing volunteer work with Bedgebury Forest Cycle Club.

Neil Hart

Neil would describe himself as a life-long geek, chubby athlete, head beekeeper at Honey Bees Online and owner of BRIGHTON WEBTECH. As a previous long-term user of Joomla, he has now fallen in love with all things WordPress. Being half Scottish, he has also been known to enjoy the odd dram of Single Malt.

Elliot Taylor

Elliot is a WordPress entrepreneur – developing, building and launching products in a range of markets including enterprise and email.

He’s been a code geek since he was 11, organises WordCamp Brighton and is currently balancing running a business, speaking at events and coping with the demands of his 10 week old son.
