Optimise Your WordPress Business With WPMU DEV…So You Can Enjoy WordCamp

Whether you’re a business owner, blogger, freelancer, developer or design agency with a WordPress install, we have one thing in common – we want sites that reach a huge audience.

So you optimise *everything*. And if we’re honest it can be a bit overwhelming. Technical optimisation needs to include performance optimisation, image optimisation, security optimisation, content optimisation, plugin optimisation, server optimisation…you get the point.

What suffers most when we fixate on the technical stuff is our ability to focus on meaningful content, growing our business, and relationships.

Are you so busy optimising the technical stuff you’ve forgotten to optimise your business?

Find Your WordPress Superpowers

This is why WordCamps are so important. This is why WPMU DEV is joining with other great brands to sponsor this event.

Sure, WordCamps are a great place to discover fancy tools for automating your business and learning tricks from masters…but don’t underestimate the power of networking with like-minded folks. Virtual community has made the world smaller but there’s something special about connecting IRL.

We want to make the technical stuff the easy stuff so you can focus on your business. We build tools that automate and simplify WordPress site management – Smush, Hummingbird, Defender, SmartCrawl (and we give a lot of it away for free on WordPress.org perfect for the majority of users). But for power users managing multiple sites it’s important for you to engage in building your business and to create new streams of income.

We want to take a load off so enjoy a free 30-days on us just in time for WordCamp.

Let us automate and monitor all your sites while you’re at WordCamp so you can work on growing your business.

Enjoy!

Diversity tickets at WordCamp Brighton – free entry for under-represented groups

*UPDATE*

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful sponsors, we’ve been able to add an additional 10 diversity tickets to the original quota ☺️ If you are from an under-represented group and want to come along to WordCamp Brighton 2018, we would love for you to claim one of these tickets!

We’re trying to make WordCamp Brighton as inclusive and accessible as possible, so that anyone who has an interest in WordPress can attend.

The WordPress community can provide a number of fantastic opportunities to those involved, and we believe that everyone should feel welcome to join in.

And what better opportunity are there than WordCamps? Organised entirely by volunteers, they’re a chance for the community to get together, learn, exchange knowledge and celebrate WordPress.

Free tickets for under-represented groups

An application from Izzy Crouch

Bio: Izzy Crouch is a freelance digital marketing consultant in Brighton, working with a variety of SMEs and also on digital products in order to fund her horse habit. Izzy also enjoys photographing bugs.

Talk title: How to politely market your digital product

Talk outline: This talk is aimed at anyone who is considering developing a digital product or SaaS, but will also be relevant to anyone wanting to learn more about marketing.

There is much information available on the internet about how to market a digital product, but a lot of it is terrifying to the average developer, involving techniques that can make your skin crawl just thinking about them. “Reaching out” and “going viral” may sound good in theory, but are near impossible to put into practice for anyone other than the most outgoing extroverts.

This talk will give you some “polite marketing methods” that are easy to put into practice and achieve results without having to undergo a full personality change.
